Abstract	In modern conditions of development of Syria, the issues of architecture of low-rise buildings in the liberated territories of the country are topical. The article contains a typological survey of low-rise residential buildings on the basis of volume-planning and constructive solutions of the functional composition of premises, urban layout of facilities. Rational systems of zoning of low-rise residential buildings in the context of social structures of society (economy and business class housing) are proposed.
