Article	RETHINKING AS ONE OF THE DESIGN CONCEPTION FORMATION AND DEVELOPMENT FACTORS

Abstract	The article is devoted to the process of architectural design at a stage of search of the design decision. Design search is treated as a development of design object which is understood as the main part of content of design activity of the architect, existing in the form of mental and material models. The principles of this development are formulated, one of which assumes need of display for material models of all components of mental model, including not set and unconscious. Understanding of the last leads to rethinking of a design object, emergence in it new properties, that is to its development. Rethinking in line with a solvable design problem not only results and products of own activity, but also any other phenomena and properties of surrounding reality acts as an important factor of emergence and development of a design conception. From this need of development in students of architectural school of skills of rethinking follows. For this purpose the methodical interrelation of composite and detailed designs can be used, during which realization the abstract composition is reinterpreted as a basis of the solution of a specific design task.
