Authors

N. Korotaev, N. Petrov-Spiridonov, Moscow Institute of Architecture (State Academy), Moscow, Russia

Abstract The article is devoted to the analysis of the architecture of some new Orthodox churches from "program 200". For objects with obvious historical analogues, a comparison with their historical predecessors was made. The stylistic, artistic, tectonic, compositional and typological characteristics of the architecture of the selected objects are considered. The authors propose formulations of the evolutionary stages of the formation of architectural images of Orthodox churches in relation to the study sample. Assumptions about possible ways of further evolution of modern Orthodox temple architecture were made.
