Abstract The article introduces the concept of a series of graphic color compositions. It justifies a method of creating a composition series based on the constancy of their graphic structure and the lightness of their color elements with a certain variability of their color tone and saturation. The technique of creating a series of color compositions from local color elements using the Itten color wheel is described, with an example of creating a series of color compositions
