Article	HISTORY OF EDUCATIONAL PURPOSE BUILDINGS AND ARCHITECTURE OF SCHOOLS IN SERBIA

Abstract	The article considers the history of the formation of Serbian education and school buildings from the 12th century to the present day. The author specified the main points in the history of Serbian education, design and construction of schools. Considered and shows educational buildings. At first it was monasteries. For some time, buildings that were not originally intended for education were used. In the XVIII century, they began to build buildings specifically for education. After the Second World War, school buildings were built on standard projects. In the 80s Yugoslavia was building many schools for individual projects. Currently, schools are being built on the same model projects that were created in the middle of the twentieth century, which does not contribute to the creation of favorable conditions for education and does not correspond to modern trends in education.
