Article PHYSICS OF LIGHT IN THE ARCHITECTURE OF THE FUTURE

Abstract The article considers meanings and definitions of the light as an objective physical phenomenon of nature and technology, as well as the phenomenon of art, formulated by different authors in different epochs. Article presents the author's opinion on the role of light in architecture, on the shortcomings of its consideration in the theory and practice of architecture, in the regulation of natural lighting and insolation in Russian Federation, and on the development of a new field of professional, scientific and creative activity – in urban and interior light design.
