Article DESIGNING A UNIVERSAL ENVIRONMENT USING SPECIAL MEANS OF ACCESSIBILITY FOR DISABLED PEOPLE
Authors S. Korotkova
Kazan State University of Architecture and Engineering, Kazan, Russia
Abstract The article considers the problem of formation of the surrounding space without barriers. The directions of modern design experience, which determine the creation of equal conditions for the disabled and healthy people are considered. The author studied the aspects of designing an accessible environment for the less mobile citizens, as well as the conditions that determine and justify the use of special equipment. A classification of conditions has been formed under which the design of special tools to eliminate architectural and construction barriers is suitable. Application of universal design principles from the standpoint of spatial, many sensitive and semantic accessibility is proposed.
Keywords: architectural accessibility, environment without barriers, design of special devices, low mobility population groups, universal design, reasonable accommodation
