| Abstract |
This paper presents a detailed analysis of the N.A. Ladovskii "Fundamentals of architectural theory", published in 1926 on the «Izvestia ASNOVA» paper. Unique text of the soviet avantgarde master regarded not only as one of the few original documents written by the author, but also as a genuine source in the context of exploration of propaedeutic discipline "Space." Analysis of the "Fundamentals of architectural theory" allows for a fresh eye and evaluate the role of the architectural discipline outside of the educational process, in which it is used to treat. Among the many publications writhed by Ladovskii, that article is the main source for the study of his heritage, because it affected the problems of architectural creativity and teaching methods.
