Article ARCHITECTURE AND LANDSCAPE INTERACTION IN THE URBANIZED CARPATHIANS RIVER VALLEY SPACE

Abstract Over the past years urbanization processes in the Carpathians acquire special dynamic due to the rapid development of tourism and recreation, changes of ownership and the method of managing. As the settlements and infrastructure in the Carpathian mountains are concentrated in rivers valley spaces, these territories subject to the largest anthropogenic influence. Therefore the article is devoted to the topical issues of architecture and landscape interaction in a mountain river valley spaces in the settlement of the Ukrainian Carpathians.

In the research the boundaries of the rivers valley space of the two individual Carpathian settlements were identified. Subsequently, the current planning structures, functional zoning, urban compositions and the master plans of these areas were analyzed with the method of field observation, cartographic and sociological method. Based on this analysis, synthesis was made and the development of spatial situations in the study areas was assessed.
