Abstract | Schemes of architecture and design organizations are widespread in rural settlements of Azerbaijan: regular (60%), linear (rectangular), quarterly (chequered), radial-annular, complex (combined) and irregular (40%). In linear rectangular scheme (45,2% from regular schemes) the village consists of several longitudinal highways developed by residential accomplishments from different sides. These schemes are applied in villages of mountainous and piedmont regions. Classic regular schemes (quarterly or chequered, radial-annual) practiced widely (accordingly 11,9% and 28,5%) in most regions of the republic: 1- of base zone; 2 – of piedmont zone; 3 – of mountainous zone; 4 – of seaside zone.
In modern conditions regular (quarterly, radial-annular etc.) schemes of planning with farmstead buildings more often are inferior to flexible (open, free) schemes. Advantages of complex planning on flexible and other schemes (14,3%) are illustrated by drafts of development plans of a number of villages. Residential zones on these projects are mainly built up with one-storied single-unit, blocked two-storey residential houses. |
