Article PREREQUISITES FOR RECONFIGURATION OF URBAN PLANNING SYSTEM

Abstract The crisis of urban development associated with the inability of the planning system an effective tool for managing spatial resources. Growing concern to the needs of inhabitant is a vital signal for reorganization of planning system. Many countries believe that the reform of the planning system is not just a matter of planning policy, but also an important component of improving the system of socio-economic development. There are high correlations between the urban planning instruments and the performance of government institutions for the transition to sustainable development paradigm in the social, environmental and economic directions.
