Abstract In article evolution of understanding of term “architectural unification” is given in industrial architecture from middle of 30th years of last century to the present and the principle of design of the production buildings, based on free aggregation of production systems from of functional fragments is offered, free desing.

In article are considered a retrospective of methods of architectural design taking into account social and economic conditions and possibilities of the construction industry, and also the basic principles of “open system of unification” production buildings of new generation on examples of knitted branch are offered.
