Article PRINCIPLES OF DESIGNING OF AN ORTHODOX TEMPLE ON THE BASIS OF SYSTEM OF SPACE-PLANNING ELEMENTS
Authors S.V. Borisov, Architectural bureau «Liza», Moscow, Russia
Abstract Principles of the Orthodox temple designing using space-planning elements are adequately supported. Various combinations of elements are used for construction of temples differing in spatial, functional and artistic solutions. A flexible system of mutually interchangeable elements created on the basis of developed principles allows optimization of the design process. A principle of change of the functional purpose of a space-planning element is justified if the latter is used repeatedly. Construction of the temple capacity from space-planning elements creates a layout with individual regimes of its parts use. The practicability of individual operational regimes is based on the analysis of attendance of the temple of the Saint Blessed Prince Alexander Nevsky.
