Abstract |
The understanding of "comfort" as it is used in a variety of regulations and scientific researches, does not have the monosemantic interpretation. Recently, some papers appeared the notion of "increased comfort". However, in different documents, it has a different meaning.
The development, within several years, of regulations for building design, allowed the author to develop the concept of "comfort" in relation to the main objects of mass construction - to residential buildings and places of application of labor in offices and industrial enterprises. "Comfort" is suggested to consider as a complex system of the properties of environment, combined with psycho-physiological characteristics of man and his needs, stems from the nature of his life. This property system is a set of three main components: - Comfort, necessary for the preservation of health; - Minimally adequate ergonomic comfort; - Social (or functional) comfort security. Starting (initial) rates of these three elements of comfort necessity for a person (of any social status), are set at different levels: minimal, acceptable or optimal. |
