| Abstract |
The study of the common strategy of modern architecture in the processes of reconstruction and the methodology of conversion of industrial structures in order to fill them with the residential function are based on the experience of conversion in Russia and abroad. The article contains an attempt to define a concept and the criterions of modern dwelling, to analyze the advantages of industrial buildings, which make them valuable as a base for the development of residential surroundings and function.
